Club Updates and Refund Policy

Paris FC continues to Return to play safely and it is working. We are currently able to provide safe and effective training to a number of our rep teams which is setting the foundation to when all members can return to the pitch.  Our coaches and field marshals have gone through zoom training sessions and in the last week on field support provided by our Emergency Response Lead John Butler and other executive members. As things progress with Ontario Soccer now moving to stage two we will continue to provide a SAFE quality program to all members. Please see attached link below for Ontario Soccer Stage 2 information.

We would like to thank all of our members for their continued support and understanding as we all work through this pandemic together. All refunds are being worked on by both our volunteer board members  and our payment/registration provider SportsEngine. This process is time consuming and on the SportsEngine side of it they are dealing with thousands of clubs in Canada and the USA. We want to assure all members that are eligible your refund is in process and will be completed as soon as possible.

Thank you to all of our valuable members and we will be back and better and on the pitch soon

We are currently in Phase 1 of Ontario Soccer Return to Train program. This only allows small group training with NO CONTACT and physical distancing for all players and coaches. Although very restrictive it starts to allow Paris FC  rep teams to start training under our clubs own Return to Play program. The attached file above outlines a strict plan for our players, coaches, families and volunteers on how we can proceed in a safe and strictly monitored way.

We have been working directly with The County of Brant to make sure we along with their direction are providing the safest processes for all Paris FC Members. The County of Brant and its representatives deserve alot of praise for their efforts and Paris FC is very grateful.

Unfortunately we had to cancel some of our programs including our Development League U4-U8. That decision was not a easy one but we truly felt at the stage Ontario Soccer is at we could not safely insure that all players could follow these guidelines and that would risk the health of our members.  We cannot wait to open up our Development program as soon as it can be done safely and will look forward to all the smiling faces and players on the field.

We want to thank our Paris FC families, volunteers, coaches and players for their patience and understanding in these uncertain times.  This is a strong community and Paris FC feel very fortunate to be part of it today and for years to come.

Ontario Soccer Convid-19 Update - May 11th, 2020

Ontario soccer has announced that all soccer activities have been cancelled for the month of June.  Full article can be found at the following link:

Return to play survey

Ontario Soccer, in consultation with Canada Soccer and Provincial Government authorities have been monitoring the most recent developments of COVID-19 and are currently assessing operational plans for Return to Play, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold and potentially wind down.

The Ontario Provincial Government made an announcement on April 27, 2020 and within it has laid out a phased-in approach to de-escalating the State of Emergency in Ontario.

Other Canadian provinces have also begun the process of re-opening businesses, easing social restrictions and gradually moving towards modes of operation that work in each region.

Ontario’s Provincial Government has not yet set a date for the beginning of the province’s phased-in approach but there is now an opportunity to begin thinking about what that Return to Play might look like for soccer in our province.

Ontario Soccer has been invited to be part of an Ontario Provincial Government sport sub-committee to assist with the management and strategy of how amateur sport navigates through the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the eventual easing of social restrictions from the Provincial and Federal government, Ontario Soccer understands that there will still may be a great deal of concern on the part of Parents, Players, Team Officials, Match Officials, Clubs, Academies and Districts as Return to Play becomes possible.

The safety and health of our participants will be first and foremost in the decision-making to come.

To better understand your concerns, Ontario Soccer has created a survey so you can provide us your input on what Return to Play in Ontario may look like.

Ontario Soccer asks that administrators at the Districts, Clubs and Ontario Recognized Academies complete the survey. As well, we ask that you share it widely with your members to ensure their ideas are heard and accounted for.

Survey data collected will assist Ontario Soccer with our Return to Play strategy and can also be shared with the Ontario Government sub-committee on sport.

Click here to take this survey and help us shape the Return to Play. The deadline for submission is May 11, 2020.

Thank you. We wish the membership the best of health and safety during these unprecedented times.

If you have any further questions regarding Return to Play, please contact Patty Forbes, Director, Administration.
